A bunch of artists were given old album covers to have their way with to collage, paint, or do whatever they wanted to remix them. TrickGo was the first place that I ever had a solo show, so I will definitely be there tonight showing some love.

ELY Senior Illustration Thesis Show

At Hamilton Hall , Broad and Pine Streets.

University of the Arts.

The ELY's are such a defining moment of senior year at uarts. You spend months of planning, executing, reworking, etc. and as a result everybody ends up with lovely series of works to display to the school and to visitors. Good luck everyone. (There are awards involved.)

Here's some shoes I painted, the concept is "Salty and Sweet."

This piece I did is playing off the line "Green is Key."

Here is my newest Moop doll. This is a portrait of Dawn from the movie Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Work

Graduation is so close I can't wait.. Here's some of the last of my school work!

Below is a spot about cloning animals, and India has claimed that they successfully cloned a camel. This is just my view on what a cloned animal would look like.

Senior Thesis Exhibition II

I would like to start with saying, the turnout for this years Ely Senior Thesis Exhibition was unbelievable! I appreciate that so many friends, family, alumni, and fellow students were able to make it out. I would like to say thanks to the judges for picking me, along with four other students, to receive an honorable mention award for my work. Tofu

Hardest custom ever! But I still am very happy with the end product. Tofu the Vegan Zombie is a creation of Applehead Factory. Painting a toy Zombie is far off from something I would usually do, but I think that is what made this project new and fun.

     

    

I have him placed next to a Munny I painted last year for Jude Buffum's class.

Personal Viewpoints

For a special class within the illustration dept. here at uarts, Mike Perry was a guest artist that agreed to teach us for 5 weeks. Over the course of the class we had a small projects and one big project of making a group zine. So here's images of my section. The theme to the Zine was "It's Not Human." I did spreads for all of my 16 pages. This was fun!

  

    

    

    

 

Self Portrait

In the past self portraits have always been annoying for me to do because I would always get hung up on getting an exact likeness and wondering how I should render the figure. I think though that it's gotten to the point where I've been able to get past that and simply have fun with it. I tried to treat the face in a less stylized way then i've been doing recently, but still keep the work in relation to my current pieces. Below is the finished painting, done for John Twingley's class.

    

Recent Works

Here's a piece I did over the summer. It was supposed to be for the Illustration Friday topic fierce but I never completed it on time because it got a bit complicated. Also here's two pieces I've done this semester so far. Any feedback?

The above piece was inspired by an old house on 15th and Castle in South Philly. The color palette is one of my favorites out of ones i've used in the past.

This was an illustration I did for the 2008 Fringe Festival (for an assignment) it wasn't actually used for the event.
